Solar Power Company, American Solar, Completes Solar Installation for Tucson Facility

Collaborative Effort with Property Owner Brings Commercial Solar Project Online. End Quote

(1888PressRelease) January 31, 2012 - Scottsdale, Ariz. - Solar power company, American Solar, announces completion of a commercial solar installation at a Tucson facility. The project represents the first facility for American Solar that incorporates on-site solar energy production.

In collaboration with the property owner, American Solar installed a large-scale system consisting of 36 Kyocera KD-215 photovoltaic modules. Additional system components include a Fronius G+ V 7.5 kW inverter.

The solar installation is expected to produce annually 13,158 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electric power. "This has been an exciting project for us," said Sean Seitz, president of American Solar. "Not only was this the first facility we've worked on that has on-site solar energy production, but the system size produces a significant amount of power. In addition, the building's owner has been a supportive partner by remaining focused on energy efficiency measures throughout the property renovation."
