21 NOV	SGS to Sponsor Offshore Renewables Conference in London
	SGS is sponsoring the Conference on Project Lifecycle Risk for Offshore Renewables, an event which will take place from January 26 - 27, 2010 in London. SGS will be demonstrating its broad range of services for the Wind Energy Industry throughout the project life cycle of wind turbines.

	SGS attended the China Wind Power 2009, October 21-23, 2009 in Beijing, China. The conference provided SGS a great opportunity to introduce its new Wind Energy Technology Center.

18 NOV	SGS Conducts Long Range Ultrasonic Testing in Nigeria
	To minimize the risk of costly unplanned shutdowns, SGS conducts Long Range Ultrasonic Testing (LRUT) of risers for Chevron Nigeria. This non-destructive inspection method can be applied for critical pipe work, risers under clamps, insulated or even buried pipes whilst in operation.

17 NOV	Building Inspection and Certification Services by SGS in Japan
	SGS is one of the designated confirmation bodies operating nationwide authorized to issue a certificate of conformity which is required for any building construction in Japan in accordance with the Building Standard Law of Japan.

16 SEP	Quality Supervision by SGS during the upgrade of the Sines Thermal Power Plant
	Due to SGS’s experience in power generation and in desulphurization projects, the Hitachi-Cobra Consortium assigned SGS Portugal to manage and supervise all quality-related activities during the whole upgrade process of the Sines Thermal Power Plant. Aim of the project was to reduce SO2 in the Sines Power Plant.
