JAN 		SGS Authorized by BINDT to Provide TKY Weld Joints Ultrasonic Testing Training Courses
On October 17, 2011, SGS NDT Training and Examination Center successfully acquired authorization from the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (BINDT) to conduct PCN training and examinations for the ultrasonic testing (UT) of nodes, nozzles and "T" welds. Thus, SGS has become the first NDT training and examination institute in China that conduct TKY weld joints training.

On October 21, 2011, SGS was assigned a contract to conduct a specialist hot hydrogen attack (hha) inspection for the Shell refinery in Batangas, Philippines. During the contract, scheduled from October 24-28, 2011, SGS's team of experts inspected piping and a heat exchanger for the possible occurrence of hot hydrogen attack by applying advanced non-destructive testing (ndt) methods.

NOV 		SGS provides Quality Control of Wind Towers for Sany Group in China
In July 2011, SGS was assigned a contract to perform quality control services of wind towers for Sany Group, a heavy construction equipment manufacturer, in China.
