  • (1888PressRelease) December 07, 2011 - The Microsoft Dynamics GP User Group (GPUGŪ) released the recipients of the inaugural GPUG All Star Award. These winners were announced and recognized at the recent 2011 GPUG Summit at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, NV (http://www.gpugsummit.com).

The GPUG All Star Award program recognizes GPUG members who have in-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Dynamics GP application and make significant contributions of their time and expertise to educate and connect the greater GPUG community. GPUG All Star Award recipients are nominated and voted on by GPUG members.

The 2011 GPUG All Star Award recipients are Bob McAdam, Manager at Tribridge; John Lowther, DBA/Senior Developer/Business Analyst at Sta-Home Health & Hospice; and Zubin Gidwani, Founder of Dynamic Budgets.

"These guys are just awesome and very deserving of this award," said Kim Peterson, GPUG Director. "Their knowledge of Dynamics GP is incredible, and their willingness to take their personal time to share it with our community is selfless and very commendable. Each of them goes out of his way to help out in developing new GPUG programs, serving on our Advisory Board, conducting training and educational webinars, presenting sessions at our annual Summit event, leading GPUG Special Interest Groups in their respective areas of expertise, blogging and so much more. We can't thank them enough!"

According to award recipient Zubin Gidwani, "Being a subject matter expert isn't such an ominous and arduous responsibility. It's just about being knowledgeable and willing to share the lessons you have learned with an audience of your peers. We are trying to lead by example, and look forward to inspiring and mentoring others to join our ranks." Fellow award winner John Lowther adds, "I just don't want anyone to make the same mistakes that I've made."

"My involvement with GPUG has been incredibly rewarding, both personally and professionally," said 2011 GPUG All Star recipient Bob McAdam. "When I came to Tribridge, I was already involved with GPUG and emphasized that I wanted to continue with it. I believed in the group and knew then that this idea had a ton of potential. Nearly 5 years later, the hard work & long hours have helped GPUG get where we are today, and my colleagues at Tribridge have also seen the progress we've made. I take a lot of pride in knowing that I've made a valued contribution to GPUG's growth - almost from the first day it launched - and, in turn, I'm equally grateful for the value I've received. This superb ERP space has done a lot for me over the years, and I'm very interested in helping nurture others so that they, too, can better leverage technology and better compete using Dynamics GP."
