  • (1888PressRelease) January 19, 2011 - The World's first, Kwanzaa-at-Sea Cruise to the Bahamas is set to sail on the Royal Caribbean Monarch of the Seas. The announcement was officially made today by Alishah Kier of Honor and Glory Executive Travel. The one-of-a-kind, five-day schedule launches from Florida. The cruise is scheduled for December 26-30, 2011 and includes a world-class, four-night Bahamas itinerary in Cococay and Nassau where guests can relax and celebrate.

    Kwanzaa is a week-long celebration held in the United States honoring universal African-American heritage and culture and is observed from December 26 to January 1 every year. It features activities such as lighting a candle holder with seven candles and culminates in a feast and gift giving. It was created by Maulana Karenga and was first celebrated in 1966 - 1967.
