Sarasota welcomes back more than 250 of the nation's top artists who will be exhibiting their finest work during the 8th Annual St. Armands Circle Art Festival January 29 - 30, 2011. An eclectic mix of original art including paintings, life size sculptures, photography, glass, wood, jewelry, collage and ceramics will be on display and available for purchase. Admission is free and open to the public.

This highly anticipated art festival, consistently ranked one of the top festivals in the country by Sunshine Artist, the nation's leading publication for art and craft shows, attracts locals and tourists each year. The event appeals to people of all ages as a free and fun weekend activity, as well as serious art buyers looking to add to their collections. "There is something for everyone," says festival promoter Howard Alan. "We make sure to have a wide variety of artwork that appeals to many different tastes and with prices ranging from as little as $25 hand-designed earrings to $20,000 metal sculptures."

The artists, juried by an independent panel of expert judges, are hand-selected from hundreds of applicants based on quality and diversity. All of their artwork is original and handmade in America. The artists will line St. Armands Circle as well as South Boulevard of the Presidents with their professional display booths, transforming the popular shopping and dining destination into a first-class outdoor art gallery. Howard Alan Events stipulates that all artists are required to be on-site for the entire duration of the show.
