Washington, Georgia Annual Christmas Tour of Homes & Colonial Dinner Set for December 12 and 13, 2008

Washington, Georgia, July 28, 2008 The Washington-Wilkes Historical Foundation (WWHF) has announced the dates for the annual Christmas Tour of Homes and Colonial Dinner for 2008. The Tour takes place on Friday evening and Saturday, December 12 and 13, with at least ten Antebellum, Victorian and Craftsman house open for tours in this once-a-year event. Atlanta, GA (1888PressRelease) July 29, 2008 - Washington, Georgia, is a unique town, an untouched gem of Georgia history. Unscathed by the War between the States, but right in the middle of Civil War history (Jefferson Davis signed and announced the articles dissolving the Confederate States of America in Washington in the Spring of 1865), Washington has more Antebellum homes and buildings than any other city in Georgia. Many of them, not open to the public any other time, will be open for the Christmas Tour of Homes.
