Three Attorneys from Austin's Weisbart Springer Hayes Earn Texas Rising Stars Recognition

  • Austin-San Marcos, TX (1888PressRelease) March 11, 2014 - Attorneys Sara Janes, Tim Cleveland and Kevin Terrazas of the Austin-based boutique litigation firm Weisbart Springer Hayes have been named to the 2014 Texas Rising Stars list of the state's top young lawyers.

    This is the fourth consecutive year Ms. Janes has been named to the exclusive annual listing based on her representation of clients in appellate law matters. Her work includes trial and appellate litigation involving class actions, employment, trade secrets, complex family law, health care, pharmaceuticals, trademarks, insurance, and complex contract disputes. She also has provided pro bono representation at the trial and appellate levels for immigrants seeking asylum in the United States.

    This year marks the second time Mr. Cleveland has earned Texas Rising Stars recognition for his work in a wide variety of commercial matters, including disputes that involve trade secrets, employment matters, fiduciary relationships, energy, professional malpractice, probate, and products liability.

    This is the second consecutive year that Mr. Terrazas has earned this recognition for his work in a wide range of complex trials and appeals involving antitrust claims, intellectual property, contracts, torts and constitutional law.

    Texas Rising Stars honorees are selected by Thomson Reuters' legal division, recognizing the state's best lawyers under the age of 40 and those who have been practicing law for no more than 10 years. The honored attorneys are selected based on nominations from other lawyers across Texas and an extensive review by the publication's editors.     Ms. Janes earned her law degree, with honors, in 2006 from The University of Texas School of Law, where she served as Notes Editor for the Texas Law Review. She earned her undergraduate degree from The University of Texas in 1999.

    Mr. Cleveland earned his law degree, with honors, from The University of Texas School of Law in 2006. He earned his undergraduate degree from The University of Texas in 2003.

    Mr. Terrazas earned his law degree, with honors, from Harvard Law School in 2007. He completed his undergraduate degree at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, where he was named a Distinguished Cadet.
