2008 is looking to be a great year for Chucklehut Entertainment which has already scheduled it’s second feature film and a comedy television series to be shot in and around Las Vegas, NV.
Seems like the husband and wife producing team of Don Barnhart Jr and Linda Vu’s new company Chucklehut Entertainment hit the jackpot when relocating to Las Vegas from Los Angeles. In just under a year, the independent production company has wrapped production on it’s first feature film China Dolls and The Freedom of Speech Comedy Series and they are hard at work prepping a second feature, Freeloader which is to be cast and shot entirely in and around Las Vegas, NV.
We have a strong loyalty to all the great talent here in Las Vegas and wanted to show Hollywood what it’s missing”, said producer/director Don Barnhart Jr from a recent interview aboard Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. He continued, “Most productions will hire their actors in LA or New York and then use Las Vegas talent for filler roles and background overlooking some truly great, talented and professional people that for a variety of reasons choose to make Las Vegas their home”.
Chucklehut Entertainment is also at work on Season Two of The Freedom of Speech Comedy Show which is set to air starting Jan, 2008. “All the best comedians come to Las Vegas to perform so it was a no-brainer to choose the entertainment capital of the world as our home base to start shooting Season Two of The Freedom of Speech Show”, Don added.
Speaking of the best, Chucklehut Entertainment was recently asked by Budd Friedman, founder of the World Famous Improv Comedy Clubs to participate and interview the celebrities at the Las Vegas Comedy Festival for iJoke.tv, his latest venture in comedy.
Chucklehut Entertainment specializes in television, film, comedy and live events but isn’t limited by those genres and recently shot a music video, yoga instruction dvd and poker infomercial. |
