To celebrate the book Moose Mash and Other Stories by Mary Hitchcock Cone we have established this contest. Writers of all ages are invited to participate.

Here are the contest rules and prizes:
The writers will need to
1. In 250-300 words, write a funny and/or a crazy story about an animal encounter you have experienced; whether it be a wild animal or your house pet.
2. Post the essay to your blog, a friends blog or website and then email that link by March 9th, 2012 to folk ( @ ) folkheartpress dot com
3. Entries will be limited to the first 10 writers to send their link.
4. Readers will vote for favorite essay between March 10th-16th.
5. The essay with the most votes wins.
6. Winner will be notified of results by email on March 19th.
