SIVECO Romania participates at Educa Berlin, the leading global eLearning conference

  • (1888PressRelease) November 16, 2011 - Bucharest - Between November 30 and December 2, Berlin becomes the world's capital for education technology. The city will host the 17th edition of the International Conference on Technology Supported Learning & Training "Online Educa Berlin".

    The conference sessions bring together each year over 2,000 decision makers from the ministries of education, eLearning experts, IT companies managers, educational software developers, educational institutions representatives, researchers, trainers and HR professionals from over 100 countries. The exhibition organized along with the conference allows hundreds of top IT companies to showcase their products and services for eLearning.

    SIVECO Romania participates in this year's Online Educa Berlin edition both with a stand within the exhibition and at the conference, to present the results of the project "Teacher - creator of educational software."

    "The project "Teacher - creator of educational software" is considered a success in improving the Romanian education and certainly a landmark in establishing the eLearning trends. At Educa Berlin we have the opportunity to disseminate the project's results and to establish a communication platform with education specialists from around the world", said Radu Jugureanu, Project Coordinator "Teacher - creator of educational software", within SIVECO Romania.

    The project, implemented within a partnership between the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and SIVECO Romania is significantly contributing to the development of teachers' competencies of developing own educational software applications and improving the ability to use interactive teaching and learning methods.

    The project "Teacher - creator of educational software" is co-financed by European Social Fund Operational Programme Human Resources Development 2007-2013 and aims at developing and implementing a training program for pre-university teachers in Romania. The project was launched at national level in 2009 for a period of 3 years.

    At the event will be present the project team members and the top three winners of the educational software contest organized within the project. All the direct beneficiaries of the project, 1.686 teachers across the country, were encouraged to develop educational software.

    Online Educa Berlin conference is the main platform for meeting of specialists in eLearning across the world that gather every year to discuss the latest trends and cutting-edge technologies used to improve education.
