  • (1888PressRelease) June 02, 2011 - Budapest, Hungary - NNG announces the completion of its 1˝ year development project serving to create a navigation solution to meet the requirements of integrated automotive multimedia and infotainment systems. The company was awarded an EU subsidy under a tender to stimulate technological innovation among enterprises intending to become steady suppliers of the relevant industry, and to strengthen the company's supplier status. As the result of the project NNG has now delivered its first line-fit navigation product to a market-leading global motor-vehicle Tier 1 supplier.

NNG has invested nearly 500 million HUF (~ 1.8 million EUR) into becoming a leading global automotive navigation supplier. Development areas of this tender-supported project include the use of road information (such as wheel turning and gyroscope) in addition to GPS for multi-sensor navigation. The new product further meets the requirements of automotive start-up and route-planning time which is significantly shorter than the average 10-15 seconds of personal navigation devices. The software works on the most widespread automotive operating system, acts on standards of sensor transmission signals and is ready to be integrated with the multimedia devices of a wide range of vehicles.

"The iGO My way software engine has proven stable and solid, but at the same time provides a flexible framework for developing navigation solutions that meet the demands of each industry. Our automotive products have gained acknowledgement by global OEM partners; and while several other projects are already in progress, the completed developments contribute to the consolidation of our reputation as a renowned navigation supplier to the automotive industry," said Péter Balogh, interim CEO of NNG LLC.

As recognition of the international success of NNG's global software solutions and the efficient utilization of EU-funds, the Committee of Permanent Representatives, one of the most important agenda-setting boards of the Council of the European Union, visited NNG in May 2011.
