  • (1888PressRelease) February 03, 2012 - Leading global software company Atex will be introducing Atex Content Hub to the media market this quarter, a single 360˚solution that efficiently manages content for all products and across all delivery channels.

This major development will improve internal efficiency and reduce development and integration costs, allowing editorial staff to concentrate on creating content once for publication to multiple print and digital devices. Through a single point of access to multiple repositories, staff will be offered an instant federated view of all available content and will be able to prepare and release content to any channel.

The cloud-based hub will be accessible from any platform, including PC, Macintosh, Tablet and mobile devices, and will also connect to internal and external customer, marketing, audience and advertising applications. The Content Hub will include connectors to Atex and non-Atex editorial systems, enabling existing customers to upgrade without replacing their current newsroom technology investments.

"Atex Content Hub represents a major step in the evolution of content management solutions, and is designed to help editors control the growing complexities inherent in multimedia production workflows," said David Montgomery, Global Vice President of Product Development.

"This product was developed based on feedback we received from customers and internal recommendations as to how we can further improve editorial efficiency. The result is a solution that successfully manages cross-channel publishing and gives newsroom staff the tools to find business success in today's competitive media environment.

"Content Hub's common application programming interface adds functions to existing editorial and asset management repositories. Our vision is to further enhance the solution by connecting to every available application, both internally and externally. We know that new channels add cost, and we are aiming to eliminate this requirement altogether. Therefore, automation as part of the repurposing process is the way forward."
