  • (1888PressRelease) December 03, 2011 - Kolkata (India): The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be conducting its second Central Teacher Eligibility Test also known as CTET on January 29, 2012 and will follow up with another one in June 2012. The first exam was attended by almost 8 lakh candidates out of whom only 14% managed to pass. One of the key reasons why so many candidates failed this exam was that they were not prepared to answer 150 multiple choice questions (MCQ questions) in 90 minutes and was compounded by delays in distributing the pen and paper question papers in different test centers.

This alarming state of affairs has led the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India which entrusted the responsibility to CBSE to make this a bi-annual event and introduce host of other improvements to ensure that quality and efficiency of testing is not compromised.
One of the significant changes will be that CTET2012 will be offered as an online as well as offline exam. By making this examination online, CBSE hopes that candidates will not only apply their knowledge but also train for speed and accuracy. Candidates will have the flexibility of choosing their test center as well as the exam date. Furthermore, CBSE will be offering a discount in exam fees as incentive for CTET candidates to shift to an online mode. Candidates will also be able to switch between multiple languages during the exam itself.

In order to train candidates for taking online tests, web based test preparation platforms such as TETGuru.com, is leading the way for candidates to succeed in Teacher Eligibility Test preparation. TETGuru.com is available in Hindi and English and covers thousands of full length, subject specific and speed tests. Their philosophy for success is that practice makes you perfect and that the best way to prepare for success in TET is to practice for your knowledge, accuracy and speed
