Landsberger, Owner of The Village Groomer, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Biltmore Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Cynthia M. Landsberger's commitment to excellence in the Pet Grooming and Showing.
Landsberger, who began working in her industry in 1994, purchased her first show dog, a cocker spaniel, where she learned coat care and how to exhibit dogs through breeder mentors and top handlers within the country.
After making her dog an American and Canadian champion and learning the ins and outs of dog exposure and how to handle different breeds, in addition to the invaluable experience she gained while going through the process of showing her own dog and gaining recognition, Landsberger also learned hands-on experience on the healthcare of canines by working alongside many veterinarians. After just a few years, she decided to open her own boarding kennel and grooming salon in Minnesota.
Landsberger has now been servicing the Charleston area for over nine years, where she oversees approximately seven employees at any given time and mentors new staff groomers as needed. Her facility can care for and groom up to forty dogs per day for up to ten hours. When she isn't in the salon, she visits dog owner's homes to help train their canines in obedience and behavior modification for troubled dogs, which she has been doing for just over ten years. She also gives advice to pet owners on common canine medical issues before making necessary veterinary appointments.
Currently traveling with her son and showing a new breed, the Chinese Crested Powder Puff, Landsberger has finished as a champion in five shows and has taken a group three as a puppy.
Hoping to expand her business to offer numerous other services, Landsberger said, "I feel that Charleston is ready to be exposed to these new fields. Charleston has the quality and I would like to offer quality back to the town and surrounding communities."
