White, Special Education Teacher at Biloxi Public Schools, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Biltmore Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Cynthia J. White's commitment to excellence in Education.

White, who holds a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Southern University and a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Xavier University of Louisiana, began her teaching career in 1979 as a teacher's aide in a self-contained special education classroom at an Orleans Parish School elementary school in New Orleans.

After receiving her bachelor's degree, White spent the first twelve years of her career teaching in New Orleans before Hurricane Katrina hit. She has since returned to her hometown where she teaches middle school special education monitoring special needs students' progress in the general education classroom. To be able to nurture a child's emotional and physical needs is very important."

White is a member of Kappa Gamma Pi Catholic Graduate Honor Society, Alpha Delta Gamma, Lambda Chapter Teachers' Sorority and the Council for Exceptional Children. When Cynthia isn't busy working, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, doing arts and crafts and gardening.
