  • (1888PressRelease) September 30, 2014 - Mumbai, Maharashtra, India - Kruger International manufactures, furniture and movable wall system solutions, wanted to upgrade from softwares like legacy systems, excel and other Office tools to a robust system to take care of their financial transactions, order books and reporting needs. Having a spanned out portfolio that includes: desks, tables, educational furniture, files and storage, healthcare seating, task seating, guest and side seating, lobby and lounge furniture, site furnishings, panel systems, architectural walls and so on, KI wanted a better grip over their overall transactions. The KI management wanted more visibility, accurate reports with real time data and a Hawk-eye view of their overall operations for strategic decision making. At the same time, KI also wanted a standardized system to plan, track and manage their Supply Chain process.

With the implementation of Sage 300 ERP, KI was able to achieve its requirements and more. With Sage 300 ERP's integrated accounting capabilities, KI management was able to get a real time view of its Assets, Liabilities and Income Statements at their fingertips. Inventory module was the primary focus of implementation as it consisted of multi-level bills of materials and the entire manufacturing process. Sage 300 ERP was installed with client server architecture for Lan users while remote access was given using their Virtual Private Network.

With KI, Sage took the module wise implementation approach. The core modules consisting of Accounts Payable, Receivable, General Ledger, Inventory Control, Purchase Orders and Sales Orders were implemented in the 1st phase. This made adaptation to new system very smooth in terms of user acceptance and training. Post system stabilization, Phase II, consisting of Manufacturing Order and Production Planning was implemented to do a detailed level tracking and managing of Inventory along with core manufacturing.

This method of implementing in Phases made the implementation process hassle-free and resulted in a quick turnaround time rarely seen in the Furniture business vertical. It also helped users to understand the architecture of an ERP system and come up with crystal clear requirements for the crucial process of Manufacturing and Production Planning Implementation.

Implementing Sage 300 ERP has not only benefitted the company management and employees but even the customers are now experiencing quick turnaround times making KI their preferred destination for furniture shopping. Having experienced the results first hand, KI has now started working with Sage on implementation of 'Region wise tracking of sales'.
