  • (1888PressRelease) June 26, 2011 - SKMEALS, ENGLAND - Walliam.com, a social network service, was launched today allowing individuals to connect to each other through messages posted on the Walliam.com website.

In a world where the social networks have already changed the way we live and connect to each other, Walliam.com offers a fresh way in which people can interact. Its users can post public or private messages on the website as well as browse or search the messages left there by other users. Through the messages, the users can get in touch to each other, no matter if they previously knew each other or not.

"We had this idea for a long time, usually thinking how to get in touch with our old classmates", commented Jason Moore, one of the founders of Walliam.com. "But it's only when the earthquake stroke in Japan earlier this year and we saw the thousands of postit notes left by the survivors looking for each other when we realized how to build it."

Walliam.com is like a message wall: the users can leave messages that others can see and thus connect to each other. It works equally well for people who previously knew each other and for people who were perfect strangers to each other. Along with posting messages, the Walliam.com users can also define their own brief profile page. Both the profiles and the public messages (not the private ones) are indexed and can be searched, allowing people to find each other based on this public information.

"It's not like any other social network", says once more the founder Jason Moore. "It's more private and more relaxing: you only read the messages which are relevant to you and respond only if you want, nobody bombards you with things you don't care about. And you can post messages even to VIPs you couldn't otherwise reach, like actors or politicians."

    The Walliam.com services are free.
