  • Newark, NJ (1888PressRelease) June 23, 2011 - Integrity House, a nationally recognized substance abuse rehabilitation center with locations in Newark and Secaucus, announces a spectacular event to take place July 4th aboard the historic Yankee Ferry in Hoboken, New Jersey. Proceeds from the event will benefit Integrity House.

Built in 1907 as a luxury steam ferry, Yankee Ferry is now the oldest floating vessel in the Northeast. The historic vessel and its private pier provide the premier location for viewing the legendary Macy's Fireworks as well as the NYC skyline.

"We are pleased to announce the Yankee Ferry Fireworks and Unique Boutique event, which are made possible by the kindness and generosity of Yankee Ferry owners and internationally-known artists Victoria and Richard MacKenzie-Childs. Victoria and Richard have supported the efforts of Integrity House's Gala Committee for many years and have coordinated the July 4th event with the Committee," said David Kerr, Founder and President of Integrity House. "We foresee a wonderful showing, and hope to make this an unforgettable holiday for all attendees. We are truly appreciative of the necessary funding we receive through our charitable events, which help create an outstanding, lasting impact on Integrity House's continued success."

Victoria and Richard MacKenzie-Childs' "Unique Boutique" allows shoppers the opportunity to browse through their numerous original works and collections. In addition to the "Unique Boutique", attendees are also invited to have their faces painted with a patriotic design and to take a picture with their face in a Statue of Liberty cutout, both for a $10 fee. Attendees will have the opportunity, for a $10 charge, to tour the private living quarters which have been featured on HGTV's "Unique Homes".

The highlight of the holiday event will be viewing the stunning Macy's Fireworks Spectacular at 9:20pm. Tickets are priced at $50 for adults and $25 for children, and boarding begins at 6 p.m. Those interested are encouraged to purchase tickets as soon as possible, as tickets are limited. Limited reserved pre-paid parking is also available for $50.
