Working collaboratively with their clinical and academic partners at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM), Kings College London (KCL) and the Institute of Psychiatry (IoP), 'Maudsley Learning' intends to create innovative, forward thinking, relevant and informative learning events for a broad audience.

This audience includes those from clinical and corporate environments, as well as patients and carers, young people, students, the police, the judiciary, charities etc. They have created a custom-built learning centre (ORTUS learning and event centre) and are in the process of developing an online learning platform (ORTUS online) in order to offer the very highest quality learning opportunities.

Genevieve Glover, MD of Maudsley Learning and a chartered fellow of the CIPD had the following to say, "On behalf of Maudsley Learning, I am pleased to announce our inaugural Conference. As a former HR professional, I know that employee mental health and wellbeing is a significant issue in today's workplace not only to create the right environment for employees to thrive but also to enable competitive advantage for businesses to succeed. "

Those individuals responsible for HR functions are invited to experience Maudsley Learning's HR Webinar at 11am on 5th December where key and experienced speakers will lead the session. In addition to the HR Webinar, 'Maudsley Learning' is pleased to announce their one-day 'Why Mental Health Matters' Conference for 15th January 2014. The Conference will build on the earlier webinar by helping HR teams to identify and support mental health and wellbeing issues within their working environment, as well as giving advice on how to create a supportive and highly successful place of work.
