  • (1888PressRelease) July 26, 2012 - Phoenix, AZ WIDSIX, a digital branding company that handles websites, graphics and video production for athletes, is sending a team to compete on the international stage at Eye of the Condor 2, hosted at Ski La Parva, Chile. Running from July 28th - August 3rd, Eye of the Condor is week-long mashup of freeskiing (or snowboarding), photography, and videography, where the winner is selected based on their video and photography portfolio at the end of the week. WIDSIX is being represented Freeskiers Drew Tabke, TJ David, Ashley Maxfield, and Photographer Jordan Ingmire.

"When I heard about this event last year, I immediately wanted to send a team down to compete in EOTC 2 in 2012. WIDSIX got its start working with athletes in the skiing industry, taking care of websites and graphics for professional skiers. Since then, we have branched out into many different sports, but putting together a team to compete in a freeskiing competition was a no-brainer for us", said Roope, President of WIDSIX. "I spoke to some of the athletes and teams involved in 2011 and the event seems to embody everything that skiing/snowboarding was meant to be… a bunch of friends having fun on a mountain for 5 days, throwing down photos and videos. We are stoked to be sending a team down to La Parva to represent WIDSIX on the world stage."

GoPro, long time corporate partner of WIDSIX, has provided Team WIDSIX with HERO2 wearable HD cameras, wi-fi backpacks, and other POV video equipment for the competition.

"We are incredibly excited to have a WIDSIX team in Eye of the Condor 2. With such a diverse group of athletes we truly feel they will bring something unique to the playing field." said Michal Reff, International Sales & Marketing Manager for Ski La Parva, when asked about WIDSIX being a part of the event.
