  • (1888PressRelease) November 28, 2012 - On Wednesday Nov. 28, Thursday Nov. 29th, and Saturday, Dec. 1, Children's Hunger Fund (CHF) will swing open the doors of its Global Distribution Center to host thousands of volunteers as they wrap 75,000 plush, cuddly toys. Those toys, generously donated by Ty Inc., will put smiles on the faces of needy children who would otherwise get nothing for Christmas this year.

"We want to unite families, businesses, and individuals in the community to give hope to children who are suffering in poverty," said Dave Phillips, President of Children's Hunger Fund.

Thousands will join in the fun, putting their hands to work to help children in need. Children's Hunger Fund has hosted an annual Toy Wrap for twenty years, each year seeing growth in the number of volunteers. This year CHF is hosting four separate Toy Wrap events at their headquarters in Sylmar in order to accommodate the number of eager volunteers.

"Twenty years ago we had a few volunteers wrapping toys at one table," said Phillips. "Now we are hosting four Toy Wraps in LA and several others in locations across the nation. It's astounding!'"

The Toy Wrap event is generously sponsored by USANA Health Sciences, Inc.
