  • (1888PressRelease) March 04, 2011 - Montreal, Canada - Matrox Graphics Inc. today announced that Totoku, a leading worldwide manufacturer of medical image displays and touch panels, has selected the Matrox Xenia™ Pro display controller boards to bundle with the new generation MS53i2 and MS51i2 5MP medical LCD displays. Available under Totoku part number LVU3E1-M16, the Xenia Pro triple-monitor boards enable radiologists with an enhanced digital mammography platform to accurately interpret multiple high resolution images across two Totoku 5MP monitors, while conveniently managing a Navigation Console display. Matrox Xenia Pro is also backwards-compatible and available for use with older Totoku models including the ME551i2.

Matrox Xenia single-slot PCI Express boards provide triple digital display support for Totoku MS Series i model displays that integrate luminance stabilization technology and remote monitoring software that automatically tracks display integrity. Xenia boards also feature pristine image quality at resolutions ranging up to 8MP, a wide range of color and grayscale bit depths including legacy 8-bit and 10-bit grayscale modes, and Matrox PowerDesk Zoom functionality to replicate any portion of a dual display desktop onto a single projector. With 1GB of on-board memory for smooth, reliable performance boosts, the boards facilitate efficient diagnosis and reporting by medical imaging professionals on all Totoku-approved displays.

"Totoku medical displays have often been paired with Matrox medical display controller boards in the past and we are delighted to extend our graphics offering to include Matrox Xenia Pro," says Mr. Mark Yoshida, Product Manager, Totoku Electric Co., Ltd. "Medical Imaging Professionals who combine Matrox Xenia Pro with Totoku MS53i2 and MS51i2 displays can count on higher accuracy and a subtle reproduction of grayscale required for mammography and other application areas, while benefitting from triple-monitor support from a single board."

"Matrox is pleased that Totoku is offering the new Xenia Pro and Totoku 5MP bundles to hospitals, clinics and imaging centers looking to deploy superior digital mammography solutions," says George Rigas, Business Development Manager for Medical Imaging, Matrox Graphics Inc. "Xenia's unique multi-display functionality and feature set will help radiologists meet their radiology workflow requirements on display technologies optimized for digital imaging applications."
