  • New York, NY (1888PressRelease) August 16, 2011 - The Wartburg Adult Care Community is pleased to host a Democratic Primary Mayoral Debate on its campus on Wednesday, August 24, from 7 pm to 9 pm. Mayoral candidates invited to participate include incumbent Mayor, the Hon. Clinton I. Young, Jr.; former Mayor, Ernie Davis; Councilman, Yuhanna Edwards; and Comptroller Maureen Walker. The Westchester County Homeowners Coalition (WCHC) is sponsoring this event for the community with the support of the Oakwood Heights Homeowner's Association and Chester Hill Park Neighborhood Association.

    "We are pleased to be able to bring such an important event to our campus," said David Gentner, President and CEO of The Wartburg. "The residents of Mount Vernon will benefit from a valuable open debate about the key issues facing the city today. We are excited to provide the venue for mayoral candidates to express their ideas and strategies that will define their vision for the future of our city."

    Seating is limited, so an early arrival is recommended; the debate will begin promptly at 7 pm. The audience will have an opportunity to complete question cards for the candidates upon arrival. For those unable to attend, they are invited to submit questions at www.WestchesterCountyHC.org.

    The Primary election will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2011.
