  • (1888PressRelease) August 17, 2011 - High speed BD authoring is a real challenge to post production. Rimage, the world's leading provider of workflow-integrated digital publishing solutions, and Silicon Philosophies, exclusive European distributor of Cinema Craft HD Encoder, will be demonstrating live archiving of 3D video footage in HD on Blu-ray Discs at their booth 7.G15 at IBC (International Broadcasting Convention) that takes place in Amsterdam 8th - 13th September 2011.

At the Rimage booth 7.G15 in the Amsterdam RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre, visitors get the chance to be filmed in full-HD 3D, with the footage encoded and stored directly and fully automated on a Blu-ray Disc with a personalized, full-color high-quality image.

Time is money, especially in the Film, Home Entertainment and Videogame industries, when data-intense full-HD 3D products must be marketed quickly and priced competively. To meet this demand, Video post-production delivery schedules have tightened, requiring effective and efficient, workflow-integrated, fully automated digital publishing solutions. Rimage has responded with its 5400N Professional series: a compact, all-in-one solution designed specifically for simple, fast and easy on-demand production of full color CD, DVD, and Blu-ray Discs.

„The Rimage Professional 5400N offers an entry point into on-demand disc publishing, allowing single users or workgroups to create discs as easily as they print to the office printer," says Jürgen Sattelmayer, Vertical Business Manager EMEA at Rimage Europe GmbH. „The 5400N enables more digital publishers to take advantage of the convenience of an intelligent network appliance with professional print quality and hands-free operation."

In addition to demonstrating automated 3D Blu-ray Disc authoring of digital content, Rimage will show media archiving workflow solutions. Rimage's solutions efficiently and reliably perform secure storage of video files for archiving or post production on Blu-ray Discs, including customized metadata and proxy preview clips. Furthermore, Rimage demonstrates how digital footage can be easily integrated in existing content management systems with watchfolders or the Rimage software development kit (SDK). If needed, watermarking and copy protection can be added to the stored data.

Visitors to IBC can experience 3D in real time at booth 7.G15. Video footage of them will be recorded live, stored on a Blu-ray Disc, and given to the visitor at no charge.
