  • Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC (1888PressRelease) April 03, 2012 - Telit Wireless Solutions, a leading global provider of high-quality machine-to-machine (M2M) modules and services, today announced the appointment of three longtime M2M sales executives as segment leaders to further expand its business in the telematics, energy and automotive sectors.

Cyril Zeller was named Telit's Senior Sales Director, Global Telematics Segment and is responsible for developing and executing Telit's sales strategy for the worldwide telematics industry, especially in the area of fleet management, stolen vehicle recovery and usage based insurance. Prior to joining Telit, Zeller served as the vice president of sales and marketing for Mobile Devices Ingénierie, a European-based leader in open-platform telematics technology. He brings a detailed knowledge of the financial and legal issues involved in telematics.

Emmanuel Maçon-Dauxerre, the new Senior Sales Director, Global Energy Segment, is responsible for developing and executing Telit's sales strategy for the worldwide energy market, especially smart metering. Maçon-Dauxerre was previously an executive for Sierra Wireless (formerly Wavecom), assembling the EMEA M2M direct sales team serving the energy, sales and payment, security and telematics industries.

Appointed Senior Sales Director, Automotive EMEA, Peter Zucker is responsible for developing and executing Telit's sales strategy for automotive manufacturers and their Tier-One suppliers in the areas of in-vehicle infotainment systems and connected-car. Previously, Zucker spent the past 11 years with GPS market leader SiRF Technology as M2M business development manager for Central Europe.

"Our appointment of these premier M2M experts demonstrates Telit's long-term commitment to serving our customer's needs in these growing markets," said Dominikus Hierl, Chief Marketing Officer at Telit Wireless Solutions. "All three professionals possess years of experience in the M2M industry and are integral to execute on our strategy to align our sales structure on key vertical segments."

"With the growing number of telematics verticals, Telit needs to be close to its strategic partners to anticipate their needs and offer our R&D resources," Zeller said. "We wish to serve our partners with the right products at the right time to help them get to market quickly and efficiently."

Maçon-Dauxerre said, "Telit offers the most complete array of cellular and short-range wireless modules for the fast-growing smart meter market. Utilities and utility customers alike appreciate the benefits of advanced energy monitoring, conservation and flexibility in meeting peak energy demands."

The automotive market represents one of the largest growth areas for wireless M2M solutions in Europe because of the European Union's mandate for eCall, an in-car emergency call system, requiring wireless and location-based connectivity in cars by 2015. The same applies for Russia, which plans to introduce its emergency call system, called Era-Glonass by 2014.

"Telit has developed a premiere portfolio of cutting-edge GSM and GNSS modules that is already being integrated by automakers and their Tier One suppliers," Zucker said.

Zeller earned his master's degree in marketing from Strathclyde University in Glasgow, Scotland. Maçon-Dauxerre earned his MBA from EM Lyon Graduate School of Business in France with an emphasis in marketing, and is a graduate engineer in physics from the National Polytechnic Institute of Grenoble, France. Zucker graduated with a degree in engineering and business from Rheinische Fachhochschule Cologne, of Cologne, Germany in 1980.
