Stamford Fencing Center is a new fencing club opening in Fairfield County, Connecticut! This club offers group and private lessons to fencers of any level and any age.

This club offers beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes for all age groups. Stamford fencing center has five fully equipped full length fencing strips and additional three reduced length strips for warm-ups and drills.
Stamford Fencing Center coaching stuff is spearheaded by two accomplished coaches: Alex Fotiev and Oleg Tretyak. Alex is a three-time Ukrainian National Champion and has medaled in numerous international events, including the World Cup and the European Championship. Oleg is a seven-time Ukrainian National Sabre Champion. He has coached for thirty years, and was the head coach for the Olympic Ukrainian Sabre Team for the 2000 Sydney Games. Both these coaches are well equipped to train fencers at any level in any of the three weapons. Stamford Fencing Center is Located at 425 Fairfield Ave in Stamford. Club grand opening is scheduled for August 18, 2012 at 11:30. Stamford Fencing Center grand opening will allow to meet the coaches, check out class options, participate in a Grand Opening tournament and free fence!
Fencing, despite contrary beliefs, is a very safe sport. The odds of attaining a serious injury is extremely low, when properly attired. The sport provides excellent cardiovascular exercise. There is a great deal of emphasis placed on rapid, precise footwork, as well as quick blade movements. As a result of regular training, fencers often experience general improvements in hand-eye coordination, balance, overall speed, reaction times, concentration, and discipline as time progresses.
Stamford Fencing Center provides fencing equipment and fencing atire to its members. Stamford Fencing Center is dedicated to supporting and providing the growth, participation and development of fencers at all levels.
