  • (1888PressRelease) April 16, 2011 - In the wake of Japan's devastating earthquake and tsunami, and with topical environmental issues confronting every sector in business, corporate events are increasingly seeking after dinner speakers to elucidate on the subject. Speakers Corner proudly presents a prolific catalogue of outstanding speakers specialising in social responsibility (CSR), environmentalism, sustainability and conservationism.

Noreena Hertz, Lucy Siegle, Kate Humble, Melissa Sterry and Rachel Armstrong are five women for whom sustainability has become a profession, a passion and a mission.

Sustainability is the capacity to endure. In ecology, the word describes how biological systems remain diverse and productive over time. For humans, sustainability is the potential for long-term maintenance of well being, which has environmental, economic, and social dimensions. The capacity to get it wrong is terrifyingly real, and these speakers, amongst others, can shed light on best practice and damage control. They are eloquent, knowledgeable and fiercely motivating, and are available as after dinner speakers or keynote speakers, through Speakers Corner.

Speakers Corner is also proud to introduce a new speaker in sustainability and corporate responsibility, Niall Dunne.

Niall is recognised by industry figures, peers and clients as one of the top young global leaders, capable of championing and leading change at all levels in an organisation, and by uniting sometimes disparate capabilities, to achieve sustainable outcomes.

These outcomes have underpinned Niall's ideology that the world's largest brands, whether B2B or B2C, can act as the canvases by which we will achieve a renaissance of human enlightenment; accomplished through using next generation marketing techniques and the creative mind as the primary tools for inspiring global behaviour change and creating sustainable business growth.

To implement this ideology Niall has served as an advisor, non-executive director and director to some of the most forward thinking global businesses. Most recently, Niall spent a few years leading a marketing revolution through his role as Managing Director of Saatchi & Saatchi, shaping it into the next generation advertising agency by combining the forensic business and industry insight of a consultancy together with leading edge full service ad agency capabilities.

Niall chaired the Sustainable Consumption Project Board for the World Economic Forum in 2009 and is currently on the Board for the Green Awards for Creativity in Sustainability & the Global Business Awards.
Niall is also an expert on SoLoMo - the convergence of Social, Local and Mobile - the new technology buzzword.

Other top sustainability speakers on the Speakers Corner database include Wayne Visser, Founder and CEO of CSR International; Michael Pawlyn, one of the lead architects on the amazing Eden Project and Tim Smit, Co-founder & Chief Executive of the Eden Project.
