  • Miami, FL (1888PressRelease) May 23, 2018 - Saladino Design Studios has redesigned the majestic AQ Chophouse restaurant at the acclaimed Acqualina Resort and Spa located at 17875 Collins Avenue, Sunny Isles Beach, FL.

The Saladino Design Studio's redesign of AQ Chophouse brings one back in time, with all the modern luxuries throughout its 4,700 sq. ft. indoor and outside dining space. Its classic and stately design that seating 85 was inspired by a throwback to midcentury European design culminating in a cross section between the modern, bold, sleek designs from the 1970's, juxtaposed against a quieter style of 19th century Italian residential classicism. The restaurant's design is made up of many moments including a giant and timeless re-furbished 1930’s deco style, gold leaf chandelier with hand braided silk tassels. Handmade custom walnut dining tables and plush modern seating add to these emotion infused styles.

For those who choose alfresco dining on the oceanfront terrace, we included lush landscaping, bold colors and plush seating for 25 adding to the ambiance of a luxurious European seaside resort.

Sean Saladino of Saladino Design Studio states, “The natural elements of the earth and ocean are brought into the restaurant with the subtle tones of the luxurious white and gray terrazzo floor against a backdrop of hand painted gold millwork details, gold leaf wall treatments, and pops of warm blue chenille fabrics throughout.” The color palette in the bar skews a bit cozier with its own personality, updated with brass finishes, antique mirrors, and midcentury modern furniture to add an eclectic flair.

The bars surrounding areas have also been luxuriously refreshed with the finest custom-made furniture and high-end detail finishes complimenting the stately main dining room. Allowing for intimate or large parties, both the dining room and the bar can be integrated or separated by a large art wall panel created in a custom floral pattern finish.
