  • (1888PressRelease) August 22, 2013 - With the introduction of two innovative minds, the development of TYPO3 Flow and TYPO3 Neos is placed on a solid and forward moving direction.

In spite of many fears and critical voices, the start of Lemke and Dambekalns at TechDivsion means in no way harm to the development of Neos and Flow - quite the contrary, the two software architects are increasingly elevated by TechDivision to work on the project continuously. " We are clear advocates of Open Source projects and we will always remain true believers. Moreover we want to emphasize that we have not "purchased" the Flow or Neos project. We simply believe strongly in the project and we want to continue together with them as an open source project, "said Joseph Willkommer, CEO of TechDivision.

Every interested developer may participate and contribute to developing the project. Therefore, active participation and cooperation is welcome at any time. In this context TechDivision hopes that the project is owned by the community. Those who are interested in collaboration and working on the project at any time - in whatever form - please feel free to contact TechDivision.

The merger in this case represents an optimum starting point that will lift the TYPO3 Flow Framework as well as TYPO3 Neos, to a new level. So for the online agency, it is important to provide the two developers enough available time to continue working on the project. "We have in the past greatly benefited from TYPO3 and and we see TYPO3 Flow an Neos as another chance to be successful with services related to enterprise Open Source Software. So it is absolutely in our interest to continue and drive the software forward as an Open Source Project. Therefore we will not change the current arrangement, "said Willkommer. In this context TechDivision is rather seen as a sponsor, who will help to fund the project and push it forward.

Just to summarize, there will be no changes for the community: Lemke and Dambekalns will continue to be involved in the community. In future they will fully communicate with the community members and inform about current developments. The two will continue to be found at events and - activities maybe even more than before.

The decision to work with TechDivision was the right decision for both creative Code engineers in order to work more purposeful on Neos and Flow. Dambekalns sums up his decision on his blog as follows: "Essentially I am still doing the same stuff as before: working on and with TYPO3 Flow and Neos. For me, the major change is now did someone else does all the hard work of finding customers and getting them to pay for cool projects. ;-) "

TechDivision is looking forward to working with the dynamic TYPO3 guys as well as working and on pushing Flow and Neos continuously forward. The input of the TYPO3 community is still in needed and absolute desired.

In addition to the locations Munich and Kolbermoor Lemke and Dambekalns are primarily act of another new TechDivision site in Lübeck.
