  • New York, NY (1888PressRelease) July 30, 2016 - Princess Maria Amor, founder and president of We Care for Humanity (WCH) announce the re-awarding of Asia's Dignitary Man of the Year to His Excellency Khil Raj Regmi, former Prime Minister and former Chief Justice of Nepal at the 4th G.O.D. Awards in new york.

    Regmi who didn't make it to last year's event due to some political issue assured We Care for Humanity that he is attending this year's ceremony on August 17-19, 2016 and that he is inclined to speak at the 3rd WCH Humanitarian Summit.

    According to Mr. Rajendra Pandey, former Press Coordinator of Nepal Prime Minister who will be traveling with Regmi said that while in New York, Mr. Regmi plans to visit other dignitaries and diplomats including UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.

    "We are extremely excited that finally, His Excellency Khil Raj Regmi is able to make it to New York and will recieve the much awaited award in person. Although we celebrated his award last year, it is nothing compare to having his presence as a symbol of unity and hope to humanity", happily said Princess Maria.

    Both flagship events are organized by We Care for Humanity and its philanthropic partners: SREI Foundation, J & B Medical Company, HWPL and China-US Business Association.

    About H.E. Khil Raj Regmi:
    Khil Raj Regmi was de facto Prime Minister of Nepal from 2013 to 2014. Regmi has served as Chief Justice of Nepal since May 2011, having been appointed by President Ram Baran Yadav after the expiry of the term of his predecessor, Chief Justice Ram Prasad Shrestha. In early 2013, the main political parties agreed to install Regmi as chairman of cabinet on a short-term basis, to oversee elections. He was sworn in on 14 March 2013 by President Yadav.

    He was awarded "Asia's Dignitary Man of the Year" at the We Care for Humanity's 3rd Global Officials of Dignity Awards, which was held at UN Millennium Hotel in August 2015.
