Perfectial Contributes to the Opening of IoT Lab at Lviv Polytechnic

  • (1888PressRelease) March 22, 2018 - Great ideas should happen. On March 5th one such worthwhile project, that Perfectial was a part of, came to life - a new IoT Lab was officially opened at Lviv Polytechnic University.

    The proposition of creating a fully-equipped Internet of Things Lab for the students of Bachelor degree IoT program belongs to Lviv IT Cluster. Perfectial together with a group of local IT companies joined the initiative and helped put it into action.

    The freshly opened lab is located on the fifth campus of Polytechnic, room 606a. It contains 14 working places and is designed as space where students can have a go at creating their own smart devices or experiment with the hardware part of their projects. The lab will be used for several practical courses, among which courses in Microcontrollers, Sensors and Actuators, Electronics and Digital Circuit Engineering.

    And no one is stopping at the achievement. The launch of a second IoT Lab is already in the works. The creation of one more lab is dictated by high demand, and interest IoT program has been gaining. According to Dmytro Fedasyuk, Vice-Rector on Scientific and Pedagogical Work at Lviv Polytechnic National University, roughly one thousand students applied for IT-focused programs of Lviv Polytechnic last year. All of them - prospective employees of local software development companies.
