  • (1888PressRelease) July 27, 2012 - By wining accolades at the 3rd CMO Asia Awards, Suzlon has cemented its position as the leading brand in the field of Energy and Infrastructure across Asia. Its pioneering environmental campaign called P.A.L.S ie the Pure Air Lovers society also received acclaim. The 2012 edition of the awards were held recently in Singapore.

    The awards won by Suzlon and P.A.L.S were :
    Best marketing campaign of the year - Pure Air Lovers Society
    Best green / environmental campaign of the year - Pure Air Lovers Society
    Brand excellence in Energy and Infrastructure - Suzlon Energy Ltd.

    The awards were received by Ms.Dharini Mishra who is Global Head of Brand for Suzlon. The CMO Asia Awards are judged by an independent, hi-caliber jury of professionals from across Asia in various categories. The countries which participate in the CMO Asia Awards are Australia, Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Oman, Philippines, Qatar, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Taiwan, Turkey and UAE.

    Suzlon has positioned itself as India's leading wind turbine manufacturer and also a major global player contributing immensely in the business of providing clean, renewable energy. It explored and created an innovative campaign through which it positioned Suzlon as the thought leader of pure air and also discovered an effective way to relate and emotionally connect to the masses.

    Thus, P.a.l.s or the 'Pure Air Lovers Society' was born. P.a.l.s provided a platform for citizens to advocate and practice small eco-friendly measures that made a positive impact by reducing the release of pollutants in the air. P.a.l.s helped garner the love and respect of the common man by creating this campaign.

    P.a.l.s adopted innovative media strategies to power the campaign. Apart from the digital medium which positively influenced the campaign, there was extensive usage of TV, Print, PR, Radio and outdoor mediums.

    Digital accounted for more than 98% of all registrations. A 'million' members in just 4 months catapulted and crowned P.a.l.s as the largest environment linked campaign in the shortest time. With well over 6 million WAP hits and an average of 9,000 registrations per day, the campaign garnered an excellent click-through-ratio of 0.32%.
