Ockbrook School Tops Derbyshire GCSE League Tables

  • (1888PressRelease) February 03, 2011 - During the summer 97 per cent of students at Ockbrook School achieved five GCSE A*-C, including Maths and English. 78% of Year 11 pupils achieved A* to B grades in their GCSE, with 100% gaining A*to C including English.

    Alison Steele, Head Teacher, Ockbrook School, says: "We are all extremely proud of the outstanding achievements of our students, which continues our long tradition of excellent exam results. This reflects the school's high quality learning environment which focuses on the personal needs of each student and enables individuals to thrive.

    "Our Entrance and Scholarship exams take place on 19th January, so the timing of these results is fantastic and shows parents of prospective students the high standards that we set ourselves. We also are opening our doors to parents and children on the 18th and 27th January to join us and experience first hand what a wonderful school we have."
