  • Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson, SC (1888PressRelease) April 29, 2025 - b dynamic! Productions and OGD Creative, LLC, in partnership with The Outstanding Youth Awards Initiative, proudly announce the local premiere of "Grounded: Creating Space for Black Peace." This award-winning documentary short explores mental health, healing, and the need for better emotional support and mental health care access in K–12 schools. "Grounded" has already earned awards from the International Black and Diversity Film Festival, International Monthly Film Festival, and The Monthly Film Festival, with more than 25 global competitions still pending.

Through powerful storytelling, artistic performances, and open dialogue, "Grounded" highlights the importance of healing arts, mindfulness, and safe emotional spaces for youth and teens. “This film is both a mirror and a message,” says Executive Producer Brittney Brackett. “It reminds us to nurture the hearts and minds of our youth—not just their talents—and to be intentional about how we support them as they navigate life.”

The premiere will take place at Camelot Cinemas in Greenville, SC, on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. The evening features a mental health resource fair at 6:30 PM, the film screening at 7:15 PM, followed by a panel discussion, media interviews, and red carpet photos. Tickets are available at multiple price points via Eventbrite.

Attendees will also get a first look at two new resources launching this year: the Grounded HealthWork Conversation Deck and the children’s book "A Great Big, Love", illustrated by Brooks Brackett with a foreword by internationally acclaimed author and coach Simon T. Bailey. All proceeds benefit future media arts programs for The Outstanding Youth Awards Initiative, a nonprofit serving Greenville youth for over a decade.

Film licensing for "Grounded" is now available for churches, colleges, and public organizations—perfect for Mental Health Awareness Month. Corporate sponsorships ($750 level) include a companion workbook; educational licensing (starting at $500) supports ongoing youth programming and workshops.
