  • (1888PressRelease) May 27, 2011 - DEDHAM, Mass.- WIS Publishing recently unveiled its free SAPinsider app for iPad and iPhone at SAP's SAPPHIRE NOW conference in Orlando, Florida, meeting an enthusiastic response from SAP customers and partners. The app, available for free download in the Apple App Store, allows subscribers to read, search, and browse the full content of SAPinsider magazine through a new mobile interface.

Since the app's debut at SAPPHIRE NOW, subscriber feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. "The SAPinsider app looks just magical on the iPad and iPhone," says Tridip Chakraborthy, Senior Consultant at SAP partner Cognizant Technology Solutions. "Diving straight into the relevant articles on the iPad or iPhone has the same real-time effect of the print magazine and retains the print version's personal look and feel, making me feel closer to the content."

Subscribers are also commenting on how the app helps them quickly and easily access updates, insights, and advice on SAP topics and initiatives. "I love having SAP-related e-content literally at my fingertips," says Laura Mikovsky, Senior Consultant at SAP partner Column5. "I've already downloaded the app to both my iPad and iPhone."

Content highlights in the app's launch issue include:
    • A special report on SAP's business analytics offerings, including SAP HANA
    • A special report on virtualization and cloud infrastructure from SAP and partners
    • A guide to the new SAP Solution Manager 7.1 usage rights (with regard to IT service desk capabilities) for SAP Enterprise Support customers
    • Information about SAP-MICROSOFT Unite Partner Connection

In the short time since the app's launch, nearly 2,000 users have already downloaded the app, and roughly 50% of them reside outside of North America. "We take this as a very positive sign," says Lucy Swedberg, Senior Director of Editorial and Partner Programs at WIS Publishing. "The mobile app is already enabling us to reach a broader readership base. It's an exciting way to keep more people on the inside edge of SAP technology."

Due to the success of the app's launch on the iPad and iPhone, WIS Publishing already has plans to roll out the app on other mobile platforms, including Android, in the near future.

With the new SAP-sponsored SAPinsider app, users can:
