(1888PressRelease) September 30, 2012 - A new website has been launched by SIBBIS International for the world-renowned handheld LCR-meter Smart Tweezers ST5 featuring new reading material, as well as tips for the electronic tester.

Manufactured in Ontario, Canada by Siborg Systems Inc., Smart Tweezers are an ingenious lightweight fully-automatic digital LCR-meter able to produce highly accurate measurements of Inductance, Capacitance or Resistance with just a touch of the tweezers to an electronic component.

With a patented mechatronic design, Smart Tweezers have very low and well defined parasitics. These parasitics can be effectively eliminated when measuring for capacitance or resistance, while allowing to measure very small capacitance and resistance of 1 picofarads and 1 milliohms range.

Smart Tweezers are able to measure for Inductance to a fraction of a microhenry, unlike other copycat devices available that only measure Resistance and Capacitance, it is essential when working in radio electronics.

Smart Tweezers boasts features such as automatic LCR and Equivalent Series Resistance (ESR) measurements, continuity and diode testing, component sorting (with 1%, 5%, 10%, and 20% tolerance), semi-automatic offset subtraction, displays active and reactive impedance components, all with a basic accuracy of 0.2%, Smart Tweezers are ideal for small components, as small as 0201 size (0.3mm). It features a long life Li-Ion battery with USB charging, and is only 2 oz. with an ergonomic design for left or right handed users.
