  • (1888PressRelease) October 21, 2015 - Creation Adventure Family of California has announced the upcoming release of a new audio drama program. A thrilling, three-part western titled, Big Sam.

The dynamic writing team of the Riffenburghs is back again. The Riffenburghs writing credits include 24 episodes from the globally syndicated Jonathan Park series, including the highly popular album The Whispering Sphinx and half of The Voyage Beyond and The Journey Home.

"For these three episodes we've really tried to capture the essence of the Old West" Duane Riffenburgh says. "My family loves stories of the American Frontier and it's a genre we've always wanted to do in audio drama."

Duane's son Andrew has handled most of the audio production on the program. He's thrilled to get a chance to relive the old west through sound.

"For the sound effects, we've been able to partner with some of the legendary sound producers to give it an authentic sound" Andrew is a professed sound effect lover who enjoys tracking down the time tested sounds used by generations of sound designers. "At the same time we're also giving it the sound you would expect to hear from the classic western movies and TV shows."

Joining the program is renowned singer Buddy Davis. The episodes are based on one of Buddy's songs called, Big Sam. Mr. Davis is well known to visitors of the Creation Museum in Kentucky, where he regularly performs and speaks. Davis is a real life explorer, who has journeyed to Mount Ararat in Turkey and found un-fossilized dinosaur bones on the North Slope of Alaska. As a singer, Buddy performs regularly and has over a dozen CD's in his discography. Most of his songs, he composes himself and the song featured in the audio drama is no different.

Big Sam is the fun-filled story song of a bad man who came to church. As the congregation watched with anxious eyes, the man who "kept the sheriff busy" and made the judge throw "up his hands", became a changed man.

For the audio drama, the back story to Big Sam has been expanded into a rip roaring adventure set in the old west, filled with trains, horses, thunder and shootouts. In these action-packed stories, the western genre has been brought to life in a whole new way.

Joining the cast is Frank Montenegro. Frank made a name for himself playing Dr. Kendall Park, on the long running Jonathan Park series. Frank is a frequent voice on television and his voice has been heard announcing some of Hollywood's biggest movies. His great sense of comic timing, and smooth voice, have made him an excellent part of the cast as the rascally Sagebrush Sanchez.

The fully dramatized episodes are now on sale at: www.creationadventurefamily.com
