    Dr. Bakshi joined Max Healthcare on 1 November 2011 as Chief Executive Officer and has led significant improvements in the clinical, operational, service and financial performance of Max Healthcare. In his new role as the Managing Director and CEO, Dr Ajay Bakshi will continue to raise the standards of medical, service and performance delivery to the highest standards.

    Under Dr. Ajay Bakshi's able leadership, the Company launched four new hospitals which has doubled bed capacity, maintained Max Healthcare's strong reputation for clinical excellence, and achieved significant turnaround in financial performance.     Briefly about Dr. Ajay Bakshi:
    • Played diverse roles as practicing Neurosurgeon (India), Stem cell Scientist (USA), and Management Consultant (global) over the last two decades
    • He received his medical training from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi, India and has completed the Wharton Management Program from The Wharton School (2002-2004).
    • His Neurosurgical research work was published in Journal of Neurosurgery, Journal of Neurological Sciences, Nutrition and National Medical Journal of India.
    • In his last role, Dr Bakshi was an Associate Partner with McKinsey and Company where he worked for more than six years.
    • Dr Bakshi is deeply passionate about using technology to improve healthcare delivery models and he helped create and lead McKinsey's global mobile healthcare practice.
