  • (1888PressRelease) March 20, 2015 - The name École Tyohar and its logo reflects diversity and unity, many hues and colours, cultures and aspirants, together as birds of the same feather.

The students of the Indo-French engineering institute set their best foot forward to showcase multi-cultural programmes as well as games which challenged their physical, emoting and intellectual skills.

"Our First Ecole Tyohar event was a manifestation of our belief that our students should not only be good at studies but should also be good at other co-curricular activities to develop into well-rounded performers. Our students and faculty presented a veritable feast for the senses. With such a scintillating beginning, Ecole Tyohar, will only move from strength to strength. The whole-hearted involvement and participation of the students as well as the teaching staff transformed it into a high-energy showcase of skill and talent. We hope that each one of us has been able to discover our hidden talent through this event, that has been a fine example of passionate participation by students and the faculty", says Prof. K Hariharan, Dean of Student Affairs.

MEC's focus on all-round development of the student, promoting analytical and creative skills, was showcased well by the wide variety of events, which also included sporting events like Cricket & Basketball, Dumb Charades, intellectual - literary stimulation through Devinette (Take the Quiz), as well as the first online Gaming competition at MEC.

The icing on the cake was the grand finale - a cultural extravaganza where the faculty, administration and students joined together to present a truly mesmerizing spread of programmes, filled with music, dance, comedy-skits and characterised by true bonhomie. The MEC band Tripwire also performed at the event, belting out some touching numbers. The mix of Indian and French music and dance, interspersed with Hindi, South Indian and French chart-busters made for a truly memorable evening and a well-celebrated annual extravaganza.
