  • St. George, UT (1888PressRelease) March 02, 2012 - "Jenny's Dream tells a really beautiful story that incorporates the value of loyalty, love, family and forgiveness into it," wrote Paige Lovitt from Reader Views. "I think this series is destined to be a classic."

Melynda Gasgoyne, Bee Newspapers, Buffalo, NY, wrote: "You can lose your sense of time, feeling like you've been transported back to 1908. Linda Weaver Clarke spins a tale filled with homespun twists and turns, weaving the simple lives of the family and their friends together in an enchanting manner."

Follow your dream! This is the message of this story. Allison King of Allison's Attic Reviews wrote, "Linda Weaver Clarke has captured the essence of reaching for your dreams. The ease of the writing made it feel as though I was eavesdropping in on their lives. I didn't want the story to end! The best part of the book was the relationship that grows between Jenny and Will. The author didn't use the stereotypical 'handsome' male for the main character to fall for. This was refreshing to me, since all of us on this earth aren't as perfect as most book characters are made out to be. This relationship reminds us that getting to know a person from the inside first and being friends, can grow into something more. Jenny's Dream is a book for all ages that can wrap you up and make you feel all warm inside with the love and hope that dreams can come true if you believe hard enough."

This story is not only about Jenny and her dreams, but a legendary ten-foot grizzly bear named Old Half Paw who is terrorizing the community in Bear Lake Valley, Idaho. This part of the story is based upon the true account of Old Ephraim, the ten-foot grizzly that roamed the Rocky Mountains years ago.

"This is just some of the action in this historical novel, which focuses primarily on Jenny Roberts," wrote Susan Ortlieb of Suko's Notebook. "An accomplished equestrian and excellent marksman, Jenny loves the great outdoors, and spends much of her free time in the meadow, getting lost in books and daydreaming about her future…but something is not quite right with Jenny. She's struggling with some issues from her past and the need to forgive those who have hurt her:

" 'It was a secret that she had kept from her family for years, something that was even too difficult to admit aloud. Jenny needed to forgive. But it was a difficult task to forgive those who had hurt her so deeply. The scars were too deep, and she continued to nurse them along. She felt certain the only solution was to run away.' ~Jenny's Dream, Linda Weaver Clarke

"Once again, Linda Weaver Clarke's novel transported me back in time. Her keen attention to detail brought this book to life, and I could almost feel the breezes and the rain, hear the thunderclaps and the bubbling streams. Jenny's Dream also made me think about the role of forgiveness in my own life, and the need to forgive others for hurting me, both intentionally and unintentionally. All in all, I enjoyed this charming book and recommend it, especially to fans of historical fiction who savor more than a dash of sweet romance mixed in." (Suko's Notebook)
