  • (1888PressRelease) April 07, 2012 - Beverly Hills, CA - Successful indie film distribution company, ITN Distribution, INC today announced that their bi-annual ITN Distribution Film and Webisode Festival will take place April 11-19 at Raleigh Studios, 5300 Melrose Ave, Hollywood (Chaplin Building). Opening night kick-off party (21 and over) will take place on Wednesday, April 11 at hotspot Confidential (424 N Beverly Dr, Beverly Hills) from 7pm- 11pm.

    The festival, now in its second year, will showcase unique films and webisodes from all over the globe. Notable talent includes, Oscar winning actress Susan Sarandon (Dead Man Walking, Thelma & Louise); Emmy award-winning actress and comedienne Lily Tomlin; actress/model/musician Tila Tequila; Nick Hogan (Hogan Knows Best); Piper Perabo (Covert Affairs); Jon Heder (Napolean Dynamite); director/cinematographer Tim Szczesniak best known for his work with bands Airiel Down and Filter, and Robert Pralgo (The Blindside, The Joneses).

    ITN President and event producer Stuart Alson stated, "I am really proud of our slate of films and webisodes. We are committed to screening quality work from the best emerging and established filmmakers that we can find. Alson added, "Our aim is to provide a platform to help filmmakers find audiences, give them an invaluable opportunity to showcase their work on the big screen and possibly get domestic and foreign distribution deals. "

    Festival highlights:

    NOTHING LIKE CHOCOLATE: Narrated by Susan Sarandon, this compelling documentary tells intimate stories of anarchist chocolate-maker, Mott Green, founder of the Grenada Chocolate Company Co-operative and independent cocoa farmer, Nelice Stewart. This tiny tree-to-bar factory co-operative turns out luscious, organic and ethical creations. In a world saturated with industrial chocolate, often made with cocoa harvested by child labor in West Africa, this factory, working alongside farmers like Nelice, turns out a deliciously radical experience.

    MASTERMINDS: A legitimate businessman named Rocket sets up a sophisticated underground scheme to steal from criminals, so that he may avoid legal ramifications. He performs mastermind plots that involve fake police busts, internet embezzlement, tracking devices, hidden cameras, tapped phones, sophisticated means to track and steal from his targets. He generally identifies his targets through his upscale nightclub & showcase. For one particular target, he chooses to use his girlfriend Monae to help set the victim up. Although reluctant, she is forced to agree. She helps Rocket get information on the target and assists in stealing a large amount of money from him, but Rocket's plans turn sour when Monae falls in love with the target, which forms an unsuspecting love triangle that causes BIG problems.
