  • (1888PressRelease) September 28, 2010 - The IT services supplier, ISG technology, successfully held their Go-Karting event at Buckmore Park Kart Circuit in Kent. Over 60 clients, suppliers and partners of the company attended this fun event. Thirteen teams competed against each other to see who would prove to be the fastest and best driver, while spectators cheered from the stands.

At this year's event, ISG technology made a generous donation to two UK charities. One of the charities is Tesco's charity of the year CLIC Sargent, the UK's leading children's cancer charity. The money raised at this event will help fund specialist children nurses across the UK. The nurses help children with cancer so that they can spend as much time at home as possible. A representative from Tesco attended the event to accept the donation.

Centrepoint also received a donation on the day of the event. Centrepoint is working to improve the lives of young homeless people. The money donated by ISG technology will help Centrepoint provide a safe home for homeless young people for up to two years where they can access the emotional, educational and health support to get their lives back on track. ISG technology was delighted that three young people and two members of Centrepoint staff were able to participate in the race.

"We had a fantastic day at the Go-Karting event, courtesy of ISG. The young people that raced at the event loved every 'adrenaline fuelled' minute and I can't thank ISG enough for their generosity on the day and their support of Centrepoint's work with vulnerable young people," said Jo Milne, Corporate Assurance Director for Centrepoint, who accepted the donation.

ISG technology would like to thank all of their sponsors and clients for participating in this exciting and fun day.
