  • Waco, TX (1888PressRelease) May 02, 2011 - InCommons Bank, one of the first financial institutions in the country to make Kasasa® available to its account holders, today announced that it is offering the Kasasa Cash Back™ checking account.

Kasasa Cash Back is a free checking account that rewards account holders with cash back on everyday debit card purchases, and without points or category restrictions like other programs. The cash back amount is based on how much is spent on each debit card transaction as well as the consumer's average daily balance.

Like all Kasasa accounts, Kasasa Cash Back has no minimum balance requirements, no monthly fees, free online banking, and nationwide ATM fee refunds.

"We all appreciate rewards and these days everyone can use extra cash. Plus, our research shows that cash is the most highly desired reward of all," said Greg Stubbs, President of InCommons Bank. "With our new Kasasa Cash Back account, we're providing our customers exactly what they want."

Account holders earn cash back with Kasasa Cash Back by meeting a few easy requirements, things they are likely already doing, like using a debit card, receiving monthly e-statements, and making an electronic transaction like direct deposit. And if an account holder does not meet the qualifications in a given month, the account is still free and the consumer is eligible for benefits the following month.

Kasasa, the first and only collection of bank accounts that actually takes an interest in account holders, was introduced to the Waco area in January 2010 through an aggressive, highly engaging marketing campaign that asked consumers, "Do You Kasasa?" InCommons Bank, in other words, is asking consumers to expect more from their banking relationships.

"Kasasa accounts have been extremely well-received by our community," added Stubbs. "The widespread enthusiasm for our first Kasasa accounts makes me certain that consumers will be every bit as excited about Kasasa Cash Back."

InCommons Bank offers other Kasasa banking products, including Kasasa Cash™ and Kasasa Saver™.

    • Kasasa Cash - A free checking account that pays high interest in cash every month.
    • Kasasa Saver - A high interest saver account linked to a Kasasa Cash checking account. The high interest and ATM fee refunds earned in the Kasasa Cash account are automatically deposited into the Kasasa Saver account each month. The balance in the Kasasa Saver account also earns a high rate of interest.

Kasasa is distributed to InCommons Bank from BancVue, the leading provider of innovative products, dynamic marketing, and data-driven consulting solutions to community financial institutions nationwide. To date, BancVue's products have delivered more than one million customers and more than $16 billion in deposits to nearly 700 community banks and credit unions representing more than 5,000 branches around the country.
