  • (1888PressRelease) October 22, 2013 - 21 October 2013, Trivandrum: IBS Software Services, the leading provider of new generation IT solutions to the Travel, Transportation and Logistics industries world-wide, has been awarded the prestigious "IT Provider of the Year Award", instituted by Singapore based Pay Load Asia, one of the most widely read and respected aviation trade journals. This was announced at the Payload Asia Awards 2013 Ceremony held in Singapore on 17 October.

The selection of the winner was based on three main parameters - relevance & currency of offering, product innovation and range of value added services provided. An expert judging panel evaluated 80 nominations and shortlisted three finalists for each category of award. The winners from among the finalists were decided based on a global online poll by over 18,000 stake holders of the global aviation industry including airlines, freight forwarders, logistics service providers, airports, GSAs and cargo handling companies. The selection process was monitored by Singapore based independent auditing firm Summit Planners. This is the second international award won by iCargo, IBS' new generation Cargo Management Solution in the last 6 months.

Organised by Payload Asia and supported by Logistics Insight Asia, the Annual Awards recognizes the air cargo supply chain organisations that have made a difference in the industry - those that have risen above the challenges through market adeptness, innovative products or superior strategy - to excel and make a positive impact on the market.
