  • (1888PressRelease) June 23, 2011 - With work due to start imminently on the Olympic Village, Riise will provide 600 luxury apartments with state of the art under floor heating in preparation for the London Olympics in 2012. They have also recently been awarded the Gara Rock Luxury Flats and Hotel contracts in Salcombe, Devon.

Lee Harvey, Managing Director commented: "We are delighted to have been awarded such high profile contracts. It's a testament to our team, technology and innovative approach. As a result we have plans to expand our team both in the office and onsite by 6 people."

Riise have experience in both the domestic and commercial markets having designed and installed under floor heating for over 10 years. With an extensive portfolio, their first major project was the development of under floor heating system for the Education sector. This acted as a catalyst for business growth.

The specialist team also concentrate on small, local projects such as the refurbishment of houses, conservatories and new builds at affordable prices. The under floor heating systems run 40% more efficient than any conventional radiators, giving great savings. The team has just completed local project, The Grand Hotel and work is due to start on the new Prince Charles House in St Austell.

The under floor heating systems provided by Riise are a cost effective alternative to the conventional heating systems. Without the need for radiators, the system has no layout restrictions. The energy efficient systems heat the room by radiating heat from floor level, rather than providing a warm zone at ceiling height creating a more comfortable living environment. This system uses less water than a more conventional system resulting in the boiler consuming less fuel, which in turn means lower running costs and less impact on the environment.

The system is an entirely unobtrusive and energy efficient way of heating buildings making a building more comfortable and hygienic, improving the air quality of the space, with lower dust movements than traditional convective systems.

Lee Harvey, Managing Director commented: "We moved to the Tamar Science Park for our new office because of the park's excellent location, great access to the rest of the region and the business support networks the Park provides. The team on site at Tamar Science Park have been really supportive of our growth plans and we look forward a successful future on the Park."

Nina Sarlaka, Interim Director of Operations Tamar Science Park, said: "As a business, Riise fits perfectly with our technology focus and sustainable outlook. Leveraging our networks and added value services, I believe Riise have an excellent opportunity to reach their growth targets."
