MGF is the liaison between mobile service providers and nonprofits, and acts as the organizational hub for certifying nonprofit participation in mobile giving campaigns.

The goal of this year's Forum is to gather various nonprofits, carriers, corporate foundations, technology providers and other influential industry players to discuss the increasingly broad scope of the mobile giving channel, as well as how to effectively assimilate mobile giving within overall fundraising and marketing efforts.

Guide by Cell President and founder Dave Asheim is one of a group of executives scheduled to speak at the event. Asheim will join executives from Ping Mobile and Greater Calling in a panel discussion titled "Tips, Tricks, and Traps for Resource-Constrained Non Profits to Effectively Employ Mobile Campaigns."

    About the Mobile Giving Foundation

The Mobile Giving Foundation was founded in 2007 by veterans of the wireless industry to connect nonprofit organizations with the fundraising potential of wireless communications. The Mobile Giving Foundation acts as the intermediary between the donor, the phone carrier, and the nonprofit. MGF has licensed Give by Cell as a qualified provider of mobile giving campaigns, which capture text message donations and help to reach a new generation of donors. Currently, only a handful of firms in the world have met the standards of the MGF and are therefore authorized to resell this service.
