  • Washington, DC-MD-VA-WV (1888PressRelease) January 04, 2011 - General Packet's Board of Directors recently made the strategic decision to focus on its networking business and voted to sell its voice business to GlobalPhone, a company dedicated to voice services. Hosted PBX and SIP trunking is the primary business of GlobalPhone. General Packet management will assist with the transition to ensure a smooth transition of service. General Packet began marketing Voice Services in 2006 and now serves several hundred corporate customers with Hosted PBX and SIP Trunk services. Both companies operate compatible BroadSoft switch technology. General Packet will continue to use GlobalPhone voice services and partner with GlobalPhone to refer customers.
