  • (1888PressRelease) November 04, 2017 - The delegation of Red Lion Alliance visited Wuhan, the provincial capital of Hubei, cooperation talks with the Central China Intelligence Valley and the local vocational colleges, among which included Wuhan International Culture University, on 25 October 2017. The Alliance aimed to explore new opportunities in developing the international vocation education in a new era through this tour, which indeed achieved fruitful results. The members of the delegation included Dr Patrick Loke, the chairman of Red Lion International Education Group, and other senior staff of the Red Lion Alliance. They all have been in the field of education for many years and have rich industry experience.

    Wuhan is an important industrial, science and education base and transportation hub in China. with a total area of 8494.41 square kilometers, the city has 13 municipal districts, three state-level development zones, and a permanent population of 10.77 million people by the end of 2016. As of 2015, there are 88 colleges and universities in Wuhan, second only to Beijing in China, and the number of the national key universities under the direct leadership of the Ministry of Education has been ranked third after Beijing and Shanghai. The number of college students and postgraduate students totals 1.07 million. All these advantages make Wuhan the choice of the Red Lion Alliance.

    The Central China Intelligence Valley is a key project of Hubei Province and is the designate National Digital Publishing Base of Central China by the General Administration of Press and Publication. The project is located in Wuhan Economic Technological Development Zone with a total area of 16.44 hectares. There are 38 buildings in the area with a construction area of 330,000 square meters and 3300 parking spaces. The project aims to build a digital culture industry cluster in Wuhan that can lead the transformation and upgrade of traditional cultural industry, and industry 4.0 using the digital technology and Internet as a business application platform".

    Founded in 2002, Wuhan International Culture University is a public university integrating history, humanities, culture and international education. There are 12 faculties offering 40 programs, such as logistics, economics, foreign languages, information engineering, art design, tourism management, humanities, e-commerce and software technology. The university also work closed with the United States, South Korea, Singapore, New Zealand and other countries and regions to offer various programs, including Business English, Applied Korean, International Business and Business Administration. To date, it has nurtured over 30,000 graduates and has more than 10,000 full-time students currently.

During the tour, the delegation of Red Lion Alliance held lively talks and meetings with both the Central China Intelligent Valley and Wuhan International Culture University, in order to build a world-class international vocation education brand jointly.
