FoodLink Item declared Best New Food Safety Solution at United Fresh 2013.

FoodLink Item was selected from more than 30 competing products and solutions for the award by United Fresh attendees.

FoodLink Item is a mobile labeling solution that uses a 2D barcode (QR code) to trace fresh produce and connect suppliers directly with their consumers. The app can scan QR codes on packaged fruits and vegetables to trace where and when the item originated and display information such as its harvest date, harvest crew, point of origin, expire date and storage location to consumers, enabling them to get all the details on the product they would like to purchase. Suppliers can also use FoodLink Item to deliver custom marketing and item information such as nutrition value, food safety, related products, and special offers directly to consumers.
FoodLink Item (formerly known as ItemTrac) was designed and developed completely by Folio3 using ASP .NET (C#), .Net Compact Framework, Windows Mobile 6.5, jQuery, MS SQL Server 2008 and MS SQL Server CE 3.5.
It is part of a suite of agri-business management, produce traceability and food safety solutions developed by Folio3 called TrueTrac.
