    Enventure Technology Services, known for its product design services and data management solutions, has been assigned the task of redesigning the printed circuit boards of a legacy product of the Client, and replacing Through Hole components with Surface Mount Devices (SMD). The Client has decided to initiate this project, so they can overcome challenges they face in sourcing and manufacturing legacy products, which are mostly based on Through Hole technology.

    The Client has been firefighting several sourcing and manufacturing issues due to Through Hole parts being unavailable for procurement, which today also threatens the ongoing production of some of their legacy products. Given Enventure's proven excellence in component obsolescence management, and high levels of competency in product reengineering, the client decided to give Enventure the complete responsibility of identifying a solution for the problem. The scope of work includes selection of alternate components, as well as redesigning of PCBs to suit the new components. The printed circuit boards will also by prototyped, assembled and tested, for which Enventure will leverage its manufacturing partners.
